From the Long Island Marketing Blog
Three things any Long Island business can do this week to show up better in Google and AI answers.
Make your listings match, character for character
If your Google Business Profile says "Suite 2" and your website says "Ste. B", search and AI tools see two slightly different businesses. Pick one version of your name, address, phone and hours and use it everywhere: website, Google, Apple Maps, Bing, Yelp.
Answer the question your customer actually types
People now ask full questions, like "who installs heat pumps in Smithtown?" Give each service a section that names the service, the towns you cover, your price range and how to book. Vague pages give AI tools nothing to quote.
Tell machines where you work
Add LocalBusiness structured data with your real address, phone and the counties you serve. It doesn't guarantee a ranking, but it removes guesswork about who you are and where you operate.
